Christmas in the north, looking south

Candlelight flickers and lights
the shadow of my father's picture
Guitar perched onto his arms
On a frosty and windy Christmas night

Memories rush about seasons together
My mind freezes with nostalgic pain
I think about his little old town house
A country home he'd never forget.

I pledge and pray to continue
The work he left behind
My brother and I would agree
To keep his lifelines alive.
